What Clients Say

“I didn’t realize how much I was carrying until this conversation. Having someone help me make sense of everything without judgment made a huge difference.”
"Yomna was my child's first AVT. We had since moved and many years passed. I reached out to Yomna again during a period when I felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. She gave me space to slow down, understand my child more clearly, and make decisions without feeling rushed or pressured. I always feel calmer and more confident after working with her."
“I left with clarity—not because I had all the answers, but because I finally understood what questions to ask and what "green flags" to look for when choosing a therapist for my son."
“After getting my daugher's ASD diagnosis on top of her hearing loss, Yomna helped me step out of panic mode. I could finally think clearly about what my child needs right now—not what everyone else says should happen.”
"I had received a lot of conflicting advice before, but Yomna helped me understand what actually mattered for my child."
“Working with Yomna has been life-changing for our family—my stress and anxiety around my child's progress have significantly reduced. I have a plan and trust in myself."”
“For the first time, the focus wasn’t on fixing my child, but on understanding them. Now I get what it means to be "neurodiversity affirming." That shift changed everything for me.”
“This consult gave me language for things I had been feeling but couldn’t quite name. I felt less alone and more confident moving forward.”

Is this Speech Therapy?
No. My work is virtual consultation and parent coaching, not direct therapy. I support parents in understanding their child’s communication, making sense of evaluations and recommendation, and identifying thoughtful next steps that align with their family.
What happens in a one-time consultation?
A one-time consultation is a 75-minute conversation focused on your questions and concerns. After our initial free consultation and completing intake paperwork, we may discuss: your child’s communication profile, evaluations or recommendations you’ve received, whether therapy is needed now, later, or not at all, how to choose the right therapist, and whatever support might feel most helpful moving forward. There is no expectation to continue beyond this session.
How is the 3-session coaching package different?
The coaching package offers continuity over time. It’s designed for parents who want space to dig deeper, integrate, and revisit questions as they arise—without rushing or pressure. One of those sessions can even be used for me to attend your child's IEP.
Can you attend my child's IEP?
Yes! Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), parents have the right to invite individuals who have knowledge or special expertise about their child to participate in IEP meetings. You get to decide who sits at the table with you to support your child's best interest.
Is this covered by insurance?
No. This is private-pay consultation and coaching. No diagnosis or referral is required.
I’m not sure if this is the right fit. What should I do?
That’s okay. If you’re unsure, my free 15 minute consultation is often the best place to start. You are not committing to anything beyond that conversation. From there, you can determine if you would benefit from my support.
